We absolutely loved reading this book together! I read it to my 5-year-old daughter, and she was completely captivated by Vera’s journey. Her favorite part was watching Vera break the trends and push past the barriers just to get into the Observatory. It sparked so much curiosity in her—she spent the rest of the evening asking me endless questions about space, telescopes, science, and how Vera had the courage to push past the trend. It’s beautifully written, engaging, and incredibly inspiring for young minds. If you want a book that fosters a love for STEM and shows girls they can achieve anything, this is it. Highly recommend!

    We really enjoyed this book! My daughter is 10 years old and we felt the story was written well, and was age appropriate. It shared the story of an incredible activist, who made such a difference to life of Syrian Jewry, without feeling scary or heavy. It includes many important lessons through the lense of an excellent female role model, including the power of each individual to help in a time of need. We especially loved the inclusion of the factual timeline at the back of the book. This is a great series!
